How Singularis works
What runs where, what we measure, and what is available today. No internals, just the facts you need to evaluate it.
Where things run
Singularis has two parts. Only one of them does any computing.

A job, step by step
- You sign in. Verified email, with optional two-factor sign-in.
- You allow computing on this device. Nothing runs before this.
- You connect the desktop app (needs Python 3.9+ and a few terminal commands, about 10 minutes) with a one-time pairing code that expires after 120 s.
- You start a job. The website queues it for your desktop app only.
- The desktop app runs it on your computer and reports back the time used and a checksum. The contents stay with you.
- Time is charged by the second against your credits.
The free session
100 credits per invited, verified account, equal to 30 minutes (1,800 s) of compute, through Fri Oct 16, 2026, 11:59 PM CT.

- Wall-clock time for identical work on an NVIDIA RTX 4090 against the same Singularis program on CPU. A speedup counts only if results match.
- Measured October 13, 2026. Every file decoded and compared byte for byte. Already-compressed and random data do not shrink.

Limits
- One free session per verified account.
- Credits are offered only to American organizations, pending approval of the United States government.
- Results depend on your hardware and your data. The free session lets you measure your own.
